Beauty

I find Applejack one of the most beautiful ponies in the MLP world. There's just something about her honesty and down-to-earth-character that makes her very charming and beautiful.

I was very heavily influenced by this awesome piece of fan art by *griffsnuff, though I only realized it afterwards when I was done with this... I got a nagging feeling this really resembled some fan art I'd seen before and after poking aroung my favorites, I came acrsoss that Applejack pic I had favorited ages ago! I hadn't seen it in ages, yet apparently it had really made an impression and stayed on my mind somewhere as this piece, which started as a random sketch I did at midnight during my sick leave last week, turned out very similar.

I tried a new coloring style, it was interesting. As you can see, there aren't just traditional colors from Applejack's color scheme in this picture but also some green and dark red and bright yellow and if I remember correctly there's also a bit of purple somewhere there (though it might be well hidden underneath some other color) so it's not so monochrome as my other Applejack drawings & paintings... There's a bit more variation in this piece, color-wise. Probably going to color this way in the future too.
